Driving Direct-to-Property Revenue
John Enright of Preferred Hotel Group introduced Tom Coulthurst, Director of Product Marketing of Sabre Hospitality Group
In his introduction, John noted that maximizing business through the use of a single platform for all of Preferred Hotel Group was the goal when PHG recently used the RFP process to engage a new supplier. After doing their due diligence, They chose to move everything from Pegasus to Sabre Hospitality Group, effective 30 days ago.
Throughout the first quarter they will be working on training hotels. In the Second quarter they will be switching the various hotels to the system. The other brands of Preferred which are currently on Pegasus will be switched first.
HHA has only 40 properties on the HE chaincode, and the goal is to improve the use of the HE chaincode, and help other properties take advantage of the products that Sabre has to offer.
As a test case, Sabre converted The Lenox Hotel in Boston, MA, which now reports that their revenues have increased Year-over-Year due to the migration.
There are a lot of features that are very interesting and should be of a lot of help to the users with HHA including multiple property interaction, itineraries, calendar control, mobile (device websites, fully customizable and unique confirmation letters in HTML, and so on. There is a lot of flexibility and shared use of data, but that shows a specific view of your property depending on where the access comes from and the rate-type booked.
Stay tuned for a lot more information that will be coming out in the first quarter of 2010.
Mathew Paul, Reservations Services Manager is the key contact for those of us who are with HHA. SynXis.com/training which will help us get information in the advanced rate courses. All this training is free.
More information will be coming out soon. Stay tuned.
